- Mac OS X 10.7, Mac OS X 10.8
Description
The User Library folder is a hidden folder by default in the Mac OS X 10.7+ operating system. This folder must be visible to install the sound set correctly.
Solution
There are several ways to view this folder:
TemporaryPermanent1. In Finder, select "Go To Folder" from the "Go" menu (shortcut: Shift+Cmd+G) and type: ~/Library
2. Option-click the "Go" menu in Finder which will display the Library folder in the drop down list
1. Launch Terminal from the Applications folder and type: chflags nohidden ~/Library
The last method will permanently display the User Library folder as it was in Mac OS X 10.6 and earlier.
Commands executed through Terminal can damage your operating system and/or files if done incorrectly. Use caution when performing commands in Terminal.
