Session Strings and Pro Sound Set Updates

Our Sibelius integrations for Native Instruments Session Strings and Session Strings Pro have been updated to versions 1.2.1 and 1.0.1, respectively. These are free updates for all registered users.

What's Changed?

These updates focus on improving consistency within each sound set as well as between the two, making it easier to change sound sets after upgrading the library from Session Strings to Session Strings Pro.

Additionally, each section has now been completely separated and the dependencies between sections removed. These dependencies were created as an attempt to reduce system demands (for Session Strings Pro in particular) but ultimately didn't work as planned, and in some cases introduced other problems, so we've removed them.

Who Should Update?

These updates are recommended for all users.

How To Update?

This is a sound set only update. Download the updated Session Strings or Session Strings Pro sound set package from your user account. After downloading, install the updated sound set XML files.

The House Styles, manuscript templates, and custom Sibelius instruments (Session Strings Pro only) have not changed and do not need to be re-installed. No changes are required in your scores or playback configurations; it is not necessary to re-import the House Styles.
